There were several escape routes from the second floor where the fire started and many people got out safely or were rescued. But some were unable to make their escape although their bodies were found near the fire exits. Altogether 10 people died. Eyewitnesses first saw the fire in some stored furniture and they also agreed on two more points- the initial speed of the fire and large amounts of thick, black, choking smoke. | |
