Assessment of the degree of conjugacy of voluntary EMG activity of muscles and thresholds of heat perception in patients with spinal deformity by M. A. Bogatyrev, M. S. Saifutdinov, E. N. Shchurova

    Published 2025-03-01
“…Based on the comparison of the electromyogram amplitude at the maximal voluntary tension of the anterior tibial muscle and the thresholds of heat perception, the presence of a reflex apparatus of conjugating the sensitivity to heat of the skin receptive field and voluntary activation of the muscle during localization of its motor neuron pool in the same segment of the spinal cord was established. This reflex mechanism can be used as a basic physiological model to study the nature of the interaction of spinal motor and autonomic centers in conditions of ischemic spinal cord injury during surgical correction of spinal deformity. …”

Breast region measurements: direct or indirect anthropometry? by Paulo Rogério Quieregatto do Espirito Santo, Aline Fernanda Perez Machado, Soraia Ferrara, Andrea do Amaral Quieregatto do Espirito Santo, Fabianne Furtado, Richard Eloin Liebano, Miguel Sabino, Lydia Masako Ferreira

    Published 2020-09-01
“…The photographs obtained in a standardized way were measured using computer-based photogrammetry with Image ToolTM software. The same segments were also measured by direct anthropometry, using a tape measure. …”

    Bone mineral density in patients with early axial spondyloarthritis by E. E. Gubar, T. V. Dubinina, A. D. Demina, O. A. Rumyantseva, M. M. Urumova, S. V. Shubin, A. A. Godzenko, A. V. Smirnov, S. I. Glukhova, Sh. F. Erdes

    Published 2015-03-01
“…A relationship was established between inflammatory changes according to the data of MRI of LS (MRI spondylitis) and reduced BMD in the same segment. MRI spondylitis was detected in 8 patients. …”
