Description
Summary:Introduction: Low health literacy, reflected in difficulties in accessing and understanding information, limits migrants in their use of health programmes, contributing to ineffective self-management of health/disease. The literature points to the need to implement strategies that promote a more active role for young people in the health education process, enabling them to acquire skills in the areas of communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Objective: To map the evidence regarding the influence of stakeholders on the health decision-making process of indigenous and migrant young people in a school context. Methods: A scoping review was carried out according to the Joanna Briggs Institute framework. The review question will be defined according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The studies will be located on the CINAHL platforms via EBSCO, PUBMED, COCHRANE, Web of Science, Lilacs, RCAAP, B-ON, and Google Scholar, within the time limit of 2022 to 2024. Results: The results will serve as a basis for analysing the role of stakeholders in health promotion as key facilitating actors in health literacy at school. Conclusion: This protocol will leverage intervention projects by nurses specialising in community health, focused on characterising the health decision-making process of indigenous and migrant young people in a school context, and on enhancing the contribution of stakeholders to health decision-making.
