Summary:The objective of the study is to identify the role and the pursuit of educational institutions in disseminating and implementing the concept of sustainable development. The study is a research field that uses a qualitative approach to obtain information about the program developed by institutions and its’ scope, as well as its application in the educational unit that covers targets of the program and investment strategies on the value of each program. The study showed that coverage of the value of education for sustainable development are implemented and embedded in the education unit is still largely focused on environmental perspective and targets of each program varied, mostly are educators, learners and principals; strategy in instilling of values divers  e including integration to subjects of learning, local content, extracurricular, habituation, and familiarization, that most people do it through integration and habituation and acculturation. ABSTRAK   Tujuan pengkajian yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi peran dan kiprah lembaga-lembaga pendidikan dalam menyebarluaskan dan menerapkan konsep pembangunan berkelanjutan. Pengkajian merupakan field research yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang program yang dikembangkan lembaga dan cakupannya, serta penerapannya di satuan pendidikan yang mencakup sasaran, dan strategi penanaman nilai pada setiap program. Hasil pengkajian menunjukkan bahwa: cakupan nilai-nilai pendidikan untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan (Education for sustainable development) yang dilaksanakan dan ditanamkan di satuan pendidikan sebagian besar masih berfokus pada perspektif lingkungan dan sasaran program beragam, sebagian besar sasaran program adalah pendidik, peserta didik dan kepala sekolah; strategi penanaman nilai beragam, yaitu melalui integrasi ke dalam mata pelajaran, melalui muatan lokal, ekstrakurikuler, pembiasaan dan pembudayaan, serta kegiatan lainnya, yang paling banyak dilakukan, yaitu melalui integrasi dan pembiasaan serta pembudayaan.
