Summary:Purpose: Analysis of frequency, localization, morphological characteristics, policy of colorectal cancer treatment.Materials and methods: 745 medical histories of patients admitted with colorectal cancer from 2001 till 2011 were studied in the surgical department of Rostov State Medical University.Results and Summary: It was determined that cancer of rectum and sigmoid colon were founded mostly among women at the age of 61 – 70 years old. The most common was the third stage of the disease and endophytic type of growth. It was noted that the moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma was the mostly widespread. Extirpation of rectum with resection of the segment Sigma; anterior resection of the rectum with hardware colorectal anastomosis end-to-end were used in most cases for colorectal cancer.
