Summary: | Experiments were carried out for seeking the relationship between press pressure and the compressing density when the chopped cotton stalks was compressed. The results indicated an exponential form of relationship between density and pressure. In this paper, the effects of pressure, temperature, and particle size distribution of chopped materials on relax density were also studied. The results showed that the relax ratio decreased as the pressure increased when the temperature and initial density were kept the same, the relax ratio of briquettes of normal temperature compression was higher than that of heated compression if the pressure and initial density were kept the same, but the relax ratio hardly changed when the temperature of chopped cotton stalks changed from 120℃ to 180 ℃. The results also showed that the relax ratio decreased as the particle size became samller, but it hardly changed when the particle size changed from 3 mm to 10 mm. |
