| Summary: | The work La verdad los hará libres speaks of a plural, “the” archives, on which this research has been carried out. The Catholic Church is an institution that has protected for centuries documents and sources that reveal its presence in the world. The Church in its unity and diversity safeguards documents that arise mainly from the announcement or testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this reason, it documents its expressions, actions and services embodied in various existential and institutional spheres. The archival research task in La verdad los hará libres work on two fundamental archives for the period 1976-1983: Argentine Episcopal Conference and Secretary of State of the Vatican (which includes the Apostolic Nunciature). In this article, we try to offer an overview of the organization of both organizations and the documents that we have accessed that had not been previously studied. Furthermore, the presence of other archives linked to the investigation reflects the multiplicity of places and documentary sources. |
