Description
Summary:The authors propose a method for augmentation of the alveolar bone, which was held simultaneously with the removal of permanent teeth for orthodontic reasons with post-extraction space being developed at the same time to provide the teeth movement. The study included 46 patients in their first period of mature age, who had some of their teeth extracted on orthodontic grounds. Group 1 (main) included 22 patients, who had their post-extraction tooth space formed by various methods. The patients in group 2 underwent orthodontic treatment following conventional methods. The results showed that the formation of the post-extraction space and augmentation of the alveolar bone of the upper jaw and alveolar part of the mandible could be effective in terms of preventing complications at different stages of orthodontic treatment.
