Summary:The main objective of this work is to analyze women’s oral testimonies as autobiographical documents from a psychoanalytical and a gender perspective. These documents allow us to reflect on personal experiences and to question the historical pattern, based traditionally on writing resources. The objective of this paper is to provide an interpretation based on the experiences of women who have suffered extreme violence. The testimonial corpus of this work is founded on women’s oral testimonies that suffered torture and repression in the Spanish post-war.
