Summary:This article clarifies Ho Chi Minh's ideology on the role of leadership in society and analyzes the process of inheriting and applying Ho Chi Minh's ideology in the development of leaders in Vietnam across the dimensions of politics, ethics, competence, and leadership prestige. Based on a selective analysis of Ho Chi Minh's works, documents of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), and related studies, the article elucidates the core contents of Ho Chi Minh's ideology on the role of leadership in society, including the goal, subject, object, content, and method of leadership. Through this, the article points out the consistency in emphasizing the role of serving the people, viewing the people as the center of the leadership process a ideology that runs consistently from Ho Chi Minh to the current line of the CPV. In addition to its theoretical contributions, the article identifies certain limitations in the current ability to quantify leadership criteria and recommends a more quantitative approach in the formulation of leadership standards. With a comprehensive approach combining political ideology and practical analysis, the article contributes to supplementing the academic foundation for perfecting the model of leadership development in Vietnam according to Ho Chi Minh's ideology, demonstrating clear academic value and practical significance in the Vietnamese context.
