Description
Summary:With cassia oil as the material, optimal experiments on the formulation of the emulsion cassia oil and ovicidal tests of different formulas against Lucilia sericata (Meigen) damaged kipper were conducted. Through conducting L9(34) orthogonal tests involving 4 factors and 3 levels, and comparison of emuisifying stabilization, the optimum emulsion formula was determined: 7% (V/V) cassia oil, 0.6% (W/V) octulanddecylglycerate, 0.4% (W/V) sucrose ester and 9% (W/V) starch ester octenyl succinate. The ovicidal tests showed that the treatment with water dilution of the optimum formula emulsion containing 0.1% cassia oil caused more than 90% corrected mortality of the fly eggs. The 50-60 times water dilution of the optimum formula emulsion containing 7% cassia oil caused more than 95% corrected mortality of the fly eggs. Through treating 10-20 min with 60-80 times water dilution of the optimum formula emulsion, the corrected mortality of the fly eggs which were placed on the fresh kipper reached 100%, and the quality of dried kipper was affected little.
