| Summary: | To date, there is no doubt about the participation of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins in atherogenesis. However, the variety of clinical manifestations of hypertriglyceridemia does not always allow timely recognition of patients with high cardiovascular risk for the timely initiation of therapy. The article presents 3 following cases: patient with isolated hypertriglyceridemia without clinical manifestations and with a good response to treatment, a patient with skin manifestations of hypertriglyceridemia and a patient with severe multifocal atherosclerosis, diabetes and recurrent pancreatitis. References are also provided for each case. |
