Summary: | Cultural and academic links in social sciences between France and Argentina have been bulky and productive since very early time. First sociology chairs showed a relevant knowledge on French sociological production. The emerging institutionalization of sociology in both countries led to a set of dialogues, including interchanges and appropriations of Émile Durkheim´s ideas. This paper studies those dialogues between the first professors of sociology in Argentina and the old father of French sociology, offering some reflections upon the history of sociological theory and the chance of developing comparative research. |
