Description
Summary:This excerpt corresponds to the penultimate chapter of my thesis. There, I present a study of the genealogy of the Argentine concrete art: their denied and trudge referents, the tradition from which artists make their aesthetic proposal, the original form that retrieves the inheritance of the Soviet avant-garde and the close connection, almost always minimized, between the latter and the aesthetic-political program of the Argentine concretism. Also I discuss the dissolution of the Art Concrete Invention Association and the particular trajectory of Tomás Maldonado, who begins to be interested in new disciplines outside the art field and develop a series of reflections and undertakings of utmost importance for the development of design in our country from the year 1948.
