Description
Summary:Objectives The aim of the research was to learn about the opinions of project managers on their management of projects implemented at the Police Academy in Szczytno in the years 2017-2022. An important issue was to learn about the conditions of project management in the organization in which they operate, as well as factors influencing the efficiency and effectiveness of their management. Material and methods During the research, a survey was conducted among persons managing a given institution, project managers, project team members and persons dealing with administrative support of projects. The research used a survey questionnaire, which referred to the following areas: administrative and technical aspects, substantive part and management. Due to extensive and multi-threaded nature of the research, this paper presents only a fragment of it, relating to the respondents’ opinions in the context of evaluating the quality of scientific activity. Results The obtained research results indicate specific project results, an important aspect of implementing project results in the context of a measurable impact on the effectiveness of the unit evaluation process, interdisciplinarity of research and numerous benefits from the obtained aid funds. Conclusions Evaluation criteria are a new challenge for the evaluated entities and scientists. It would be necessary to postulate a direction of activities in higher education aimed at reducing bureaucracy and creating transparent, stable and clear regulations, as well as investing in the development of competences of university staff through training for scientists in the field of communication with non-academic entities, as well as allocating financial resources to employ specialist staff supporting processes related to research or documenting the so-called “descriptions of impacts”.
