description In order to simulate the damage and damage of ductile concrete dams under natural hazards such as earthquakes, exact numerical methods are needed to apply the effects correctly and optimally. In other words, providing a nonlinear numerical model of a structure that can justify its behavior is very important. In this research, the evaluation of the damages of dam concrete concrete Karun III has been developed using finite element method and the concrete sintered cracking model is under strong seismic stimulation and compared with conventional finite element method. The results show that the behavior of a dam and aisly is very similar to the crack before cracking. But it will be different after the crack expansion. In general, bending increases the displacement of the dam and decreases the tension in the body, especially around the crack. Also, the pattern of total cracking of the body of the dam during the earthquake is explored and can be investigated in order to strengthen its weaknesses.
