description The article investigates the process of developing a software model of a shopping center building for a simulator stand. The operation of electric heaters is common across various industries – from space heating to large-scale thermal energy production. The design of a control system for electric heaters depends on the type of voltage, the control law, and the power rating of the heater. This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of different control strategies for managing both low- and high-power heaters. A review of sources highlights the widespread use of electric heaters in many fields to ensure optimal temperature conditions – in heating systems, production and technological processes, as well as to enhance comfort and safety in both domestic and industrial settings. For efficient operation of such systems, the implementation of energy-efficient control methods is essential. This article focuses on developing a control system for an electric heater using a thyristor switch. It presents a method for calculating the numerical value of the power generated by the heater during one half-cycle of thyristor operation. The study discusses the drawbacks of using the industrial power grid as a power source, particularly waveform distortion of the sinusoidal signal. To mitigate these drawbacks, it is proposed to perform multiple measurements during the key’s opening to obtain accurate voltage values. This approach is recommended for use in the development of control systems for linear objects using prediction-based methods. The linear behavior of the object allows for forecasting its response to the influence of the heating element during a single half-cycle, enabling efficient control even of high-power heaters. The paper presents the results of calculating relative errors when using the DS18B20 digital temperature sensor. Future research aims to integrate the obtained results into existing control systems for electric heaters.
