Summary:NATO’S SECURITY CHALLENGES IN THE INDO-PACIFIC REGION: STRATEGIC DILEMMAS AMIDST GREAT POWER COMPETITION Why NATO has pursued an agenda of expanding its influence beyond the transatlantic region into the Asia-Pacific? To what extent should NATO engage in the dynamic and diverse Eurasian and the Indo-Pacific geopolitics? The Asia-Pacific area faces deep uncertainty as the security interests of major and regional powers become not only more intertwined, but often conflicting. This article examines this security uncertainty and the interconnectedness of interests by applying a NATO perspective to geopolitical competition in Eurasia.
