Actually, alcohol is a toxic, mind-altering drug and it is the most abused drug in Western societies. It is estimated that one out of every seven persons over the age of fourteen is in some stage of alcoholism. Some will seek help from physicians and treatment centres and recover from alchol abuse. With others alcohol is the winner. Alcohol contributes to some sixty per cent of all automobile accidents.
