Systematic review and meta-analysis of the use of phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors for treatment of erectile dysfunction following bilateral nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy. von Xiao Wang, Xinghuan Wang, Tao Liu, Qianwen He, Yipeng Wang, Xinhua Zhang
Veröffentlicht 2014-01-01Prostate cancer is relatively common cancer occurring in males. Radical prostatectomy (RP) is the most effective treatment for a localized tumor but erectile dysfunction (ED) is common complication, even when bilateral nerve-sparing RP (BNSRP) is performed. Clinical trials have shown varied effectiv...

Synergistic impact of MdERF2 and MdPUB17 on the biosynthesis of wax in apple epidermis von Meng Lv, Xinhua Zhang, Jin Shang, Yanfang Zhang, Yefei Gu, Xiaoan Li, Fujun Li
Veröffentlicht 2025-07-01The synergistic regulatory effect of the ethylene transcription factor MdERF2 and ubiquitin ligase MdPUB17 on apple (Malus domestica) epidermal wax was examined by transferring the pRI101-MdPUB17-MdERF2 dual overexpression vector (PUB17-ERF2), the empty vector (pRI101), the pRI101-MdPUB17 overexpres...

MdERF2 regulates cuticle wax formation by directly activating MdLACS2, MdCER1 and MdCER6 of apple fruit during postharvest von Xinyue Zhang, Xinhua Zhang, Wenwen Sun, Meng Lü, Yefei Gu, Sarfaraz Hussain, Xiaoan Li, Maratab Ali, Fujun Li
Veröffentlicht 2025-06-01Ethylene response factors 2 (ERF2) are essential for plant growth, fruit ripening, metabolism, and resistance to stress. In this study, the expression levels of the genes for MdERF2 implicated in the biosynthesis, composition and ultrastructure of fruit cuticular wax in apple (Malus domestica) were...

A common TBP-binding site mutation elevates fetal hemoglobin levels by competitive globin switching change in β-thalassemia von Mengyang Song, Xiaolei Wei, Hualei Luo, Jueheng Wang, Yuhua Ye, Lang Qin, Chao Niu, Yong Long, Xingmin Wang, Congwen Shao, Miao Yu, Feng Gu, Xinhua Zhang, Xiangmin Xu
Veröffentlicht 2025-07-01Abstract: β-Thalassemia is a common monogenic disorder caused by genetic defects in β-globin genes (HBB) resulting in imbalanced synthesis of α-/β-globin and ineffective erythropoiesis. It has been well documented that patients with β-thalassemia, or even carriers, mostly experience reactivation of...

Veröffentlicht 2025-03-01Abstract Despite the well‐documented mutation spectra of β‐thalassemia, the genetic variants and haplotypes of globin gene clusters modulating its clinical heterogeneity remain incompletely illustrated. Here, a targeted long‐read sequencing (T‐LRS) is demonstrated to capture 20 genes/loci in 1,020 β...
