Vinayak "Vinay" Kashyap Prasad is an American hematologist-oncologist and health researcher who served as the director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research from May to July 2025. A professor of epidemiology and biostatistics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), he is the author of the books ''Ending Medical Reversal'' (2015) and ''Malignant'' (2020). On May 6, 2025, he was made Director of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research. On July 29, 2025, he left the FDA.
