Emperor Xizong of Tang

Emperor Xizong of Tang |l="Cautious Ancestor of the Tang" |p=Táng Xīzōng |altname=Li Yan |c2= |l2=(personal name) |p2=Lǐ Yǎn }}

Emperor Xizong of Tang (June 8, 862 – April 20, 888), né Li Yan, later name changed to Li Xuan (}}, changed 873), was an emperor of China's Tang dynasty. He reigned from 873 to 888. He was the fifth son of his predecessor Emperor Yizong and was the elder brother of his successor Emperor Zhaozong. His reign saw his realm overrun by the great agrarian rebellions led by Wang Xianzhi and Huang Chao, and while both were eventually defeated, by the end of Emperor Xizong's reign, the Tang state had virtually disintegrated into pieces ruled by individual warlords, rather than the imperial government, and would never recover, falling eventually in 907. High temperatures do not decrease biocontrol potential for the host-killing parasitoid Neochrysocharis formosa (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) on agromyzid leafminers by Jing-li XUAN, Yue XIAO, Fu-yu YE, Yi-bo ZHANG, Shu-xia TAO, Jian-yang GUO, Wan-xue LIU

    Published 2022-06-01

    Temperature, as a critical abiotic factor, might influence the effectiveness of biological control by parasitoids in host-parasitoid systems. In this study, Neochrysocharis formosa (Westwood), a larval endoparasitoid, is used to investigate the efficacy of biological control on a vegetable agricultu...
